Air Cooled Reactors

Air-core dry-type reactors are mainly employed in electric power transmission and distribution systems as well as in electric power systems of electrical plants. They are installed to protect these systems and to increase their efficiency.

As a special application Air-core Dry-type reactors will also be used in Electrical Test Laboratories and Research Institutions.

Lakshmi Electronics specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of Air-core Dry-type Reactors for electrical power systems.

We "Lakshmi Electronics" design, manufacture and supply Air Core Dry Type, Resin Impregnated Aluminium / Copper wound Reactor. All the Reactors are designed and manufactured as per customer requirement and their application.
The reactors are suitable for indoor and outdoor application. Depending on space available we design and manufacture reactors to mount side by side OR vertical sack mounting. Also We supply the reactors with Enclosure.

"Lakshmi Electronics" Air Core Air Cooled Reactor coils are cylindrically wound, and designed in Single layer and multi layer. With fiber glass strips / cooling ducts between the coil layers, as the axial airway for heat discharge, the air core reactor has good heat dissipation. Reactor Coils are designed using insulated Aluminium / Copper conductor as per customer requirement.

"Lakshmi Electronics" Air Core Air Cooled Reactor coils are resin impregnated, suitable for indoor and out door application. & The reactor is painted with U.V. grade paint which protects against ultraviolet radiation and has fine performance in case of outdoor application. It has strong resistance to climatic conditions and long service life. Aluminium spider clamps and fiber glass rods are used for mechanical strength. Aluminium flat terminals are provided for electrical connection. The Reactor Coil assembly will be suitably mounted on support Insulator as per design. All the reactors are tested for Routine Tests in house as per IS 5553 standard.
The reactor is painted with U.V. grade paint which protects against ultraviolet radiation and has fine performance in case of outdoor application.

Parallel reactor

Reactors with parallel connection are generally used for reactive power compensation. They are used to compensate the capacitive charging current and control voltage rise and switching overvoltage of the power system....

Current Limiting Reactor

The current-limiting reactor is used to prevent short-circuit current level , and reduce it to the allowable current. It reduces the stresses on circuit breakers, insulators, bus bars and other H.T. devices. The current limiting reactors are also used as Load balancing reactors for load sharing in parallel circuits, Bus tie reactors installed between two different bus systems, & as Capacitor inrush current limiting or damping reactors. ...

Harmonic Filter Reactor

Harmonic filters reduce distortion by diverting harmonic currents in low-impedance paths. Harmonic filters are capacitive at the fundamental frequency, so they are also used to produce the reactive power required by converters and for power factor correction.
